This Privacy Policy explains how Backrest Ltd, doing business as WristWrist ("WristWrist", "we", "our", or "us"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our websites, applications, NFC wristband payment services, and related tools (collectively, the "Services").

1. Who We Are

WristWrist is a product of Backrest Ltd, registered in Rwanda. We currently serve events in Rwanda and are expanding to Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Cote d'Ivoire.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate event payments.

  • Organizer account data, including name, email, phone number, company details, and bank details.
  • Guest data in the web app, including email and phone number, to assign guests to event wristbands.
  • Event and transaction data such as top-ups, purchases, refunds, and wristband activity.
  • Device identification data for vendor devices used during events. Vendor devices scan a QR code that uniquely identifies the vendor for the event, and we store device-to-vendor assignment data.

3. Payment Information

Payments are processed by certified payment providers. WristWrist does not store sensitive card details or equivalent payment credential data.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Run event operations and guest-to-wristband assignment.
  • Enable NFC wristband payments, top-ups, refunds, and reconciliation.
  • Link vendor devices to the right event/vendor account via QR scan.
  • Provide support, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Certified payment providers to complete transactions.
  • Service providers that help us operate the platform (hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and support).
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

When an organizer deletes an event, associated event data is removed from our platform. We may retain limited records only when required by law, dispute handling, or fraud/security investigations.

7. Vendor Devices

The mobile app is installed on devices we lend to vendors during an event. These devices are returned to WristWrist after the event.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children and Minors

Organizers must be adults to create platform accounts. Minors may use event wristbands under adult supervision, but minors are not allowed to top up funds directly on the platform.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We will process requests in line with applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
